Urban Rebounder Review
Urban Rebounder Mini Trampoline Review
My husband got me the Urban Rebounder Mini Trampoline for my birthday a couple of months ago. I was already familiar with rebounding (kind of a new cardio movement using mini trampolines) because I had taken some rebounding classes at our health club. Urban rebounding is actually a lot of fun. Much more so than plodding along on a stair climber or stationary bike. I asked the instructor if the benefits of jumping on a mini trampoline were as good as using the typical cardio equipment you find at the gym. Her answer was an empathetic yes.
Some of the benefits of jumping on a mini trampoline are:
-
It's a good cardiovascular workout
-
It's low impact
-
Working out with mini trampolines strengthens the heart and your other muscles so they can work more efficiently.
-
Unlike many cardio machines, mini trampolines are actually fun.
-
You feel good afterwards because it's quite invigorating.
-
It stimulates your metabolism and burns a lot of calories.
We set up the Urban Rebounder in our garage where we've already got a bit of a home gym set up. It's got a fairly high ceiling. You don't need a lot of head room with a mini trampoline because it's more about jumping hard than high but you don't want to be worrying about banging your head either. We also have a stereo out there so it's almost like being at the gym especially if my husband or the kids are out there too. Although the Urban Rebounder isn't the specific trampoline I had used in my classes at the gym, it was very similar. So far it has proved itself a sturdy piece of equipment. My husband also bought some urban rebounding videos that teach you the fundamentals including proper form so you won't get hurt. The videos have workouts on them too. The Rebounder also came with a bag so you can fold it and take it with you to a class or to somebody else's house or even to a park if you don't mind an audience.
I like the Urban Rebounder a lot so far. Despite being foldable it locks together securely and I'm never worried about it collapsing or anything. Also unlike with some other kinds of fitness equipment I think it's perfectly safe for our kids as long as I'm around to supervise them. They have a lot of fun on it and it makes me happy knowing they're getting the exercise they need.
Overall I would definitely recommend the Urban Rebounder. It's more fun than treadmills and things that make you feel like a hamster on a wheel. It's also a lot cheaper than those cardio machines. I'm very glad my husband got one for me.
