Bowflex Power Pro after 1 Month

After four weeks of using the Bowflex Power Pro, I decided to look over my logs and take measure of my progress. Already, I had been using the Power Pro longer than any of the other pieces of home gym equipment I had ever purchased. I had been able to raise the resistance on my sets and had a good feel for how to perform each of the exercises correctly.

The increase in strength was nice, but the most important aspect for me was that the exercises had not aggravated my back which had been bothering me for some months. In fact, within a couple of weeks I noticed a reduction in discomfort due to the strengthening of the muscles of my back. Doubtlessly, any strength training program would have done this for me, but the Bowflex was easy for me to use several times a week. The time spent did not inconvenience me or disrupt my schedule as going to the gym had.

My body weight was about the same (I have not changed my diet), but I was looking less soft in the mirror. Though this was not my dominant reason for beginning an exercise program, it's a nice perk.

Though I had some initial concern about the effectiveness of the power rods versus traditional weights, after one month I was making respectable progress.
